Javier Eguía

Javier Eguía joined Eguía – Marcas y Patentes in 1989 and is the third generation at the helm of the firm his family founded in Córdoba in 1947.

A graduate in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica de Córdoba (class of 1994), he has spent his entire professional career within the firm, combining the tradition of a practice with almost eight decades of history with a strong focus on management, technology, and continuous improvement.

Under his leadership, Eguía – Marcas y Patentes consolidated its nationwide presence and built a team of more than 40 professionals and staff. The firm currently handles more than 4,000 matters per year and serves Argentine and foreign clients in the protection and management of their intellectual property assets.

His tenure has seen the further professionalization of internal processes, certified under ISO 9001, and the adoption of technology tools aimed at improving the monitoring and management of clients’ intellectual property portfolios.

In addition to the executive management of the firm, Javier takes an active part in its institutional representation and is a member of AAAPI, INTA, and ASIPI.
